Biography

Johannes Ernst Bachmann was born in Niederhorn in Hessen (Germany). It's unknown when he moved to The Netherlands but in 1844 he was living in Amsterdam at Agnietenstraat B280. In 1851 his son was born, also named Johannes Ernst. Later he moved to Warmoesstraat where he died in 1886. Bachmann mostly made good basses.
