Biography

Peter Brandt, born in 1958, was trained by Patricia Naismith at the Department of Musical Instru ment Technology of the London College of Furniture, at present a part of the London Guildhall University. He worked for several years as a restorer in London. Returned in 1988 to The Nether lands to take over an established violin-shop. In 1989 he moved to Assen (The Netherlands) where the business expanded with a large international clientele. He is mostly engaged with restoration and trade of instruments of the violin-family. He applies himself successfully to copying old Italian masters. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Musical Instrument Makers (NVMM).
